Mercedes Deranged X350d

Mercedes Deranged X350d

REVIEW

The Mercedes X-Class was an unusual entry into the pickup market a couple of years ago, based on the Nissan Navara it looked good but not unique, however the Merc styling, upgraded interior and premium image the brand has really made this the pickup to be seen in. As ever though, some people want more and there’s always a tuning company out there to cater to your needs. For this X-Class there is Deranged with their Wide Arch Blackout kit and to say it adds some aggression and attitude would be an understatement. The first thing you notice are the wide wheelarch extensions which add serious width to the pickup, housing a set of Deranged 18-inch alloy wheels and BF Goodrich tyres. The whole truck is wrapped in satin grey (other colour available) to give added stealth look, while every bit of chromework or badging is blacked out. To finish off the outside there’s a black rollover bar and black roller shutter for the load bed, with a Deranged badge across the tailgate. Inside the front seats get replaced by Recaro sports seats and retrimmed in premium Deranged design leather along with the rear seats and door cards. The engine doesn’t need any upgrades as it’s the 350d – a 3.0 litre V6 turbodiesel with 254bhp and 550Nm of torque! This Deranged X350d really is an imposing pickup, a proper beast!
